Neptune 4 Max

The initial setup and leveling process was very straightforward. I didn't take enough care/diligence on initial setup so the first few prints did not work.

However, once I got this thing set up I ripped through 4kg of filament in a week. Nonstop printing 24/7.

It would be running at this exact second, except one of my prints went wrong and I didn't check on it in time before the filament screwed up the printing head.

A new printing head is $50 on Amazon. It should be straightforward to replace.

Always a great printer. This is my second elegoo that I am using to print a 1:1 scale modle of a car.

This printer is easy to use and setup.

My 1st print was ok but the printer has left a line on the side that was quite noticeable. I'm not sure why it did this.

i bought it to create masters for ceramic plaster molds but until i have some hours I have so far had fun printing out so many christmas whales!! perfect timing.

Got to me fast,(about 1.5 weeks). And prints great so far, will probably buy another

I was a little worried about the printer since the box was quite damaged on delivery, but I didn't see any problems with it, and once assembled it worked great. It has a loud grinding noise when 0'ing itself that is a little alarming when it hits, but otherwise prints great and quick.

Coming from a P1S to this has been quite a shock. The amount of calibration time of the bed I've done has exceeded some of my longer prints. Aftermarket additions such as silicone spacers for the bed adjust screws should come factory, but alas they do not. Familiarize yourself with the fluidd screws tilt adjust function and letting the bed warm to operating temp for 30 minutes prior to any print and print bed calibration, it'll save you a ton of grief. I need to babysit this printer, the other one, set it and forget it. I've been working with this printer for almost a year and still to this day I'm having issues with the first layer in many spots. When it works, it works great.

Adjust the temp in your orca elegoo PLA profiles as the temp i found is generally too low (I had to increase by 20 degrees) and had massive issues with all brands with layer adhesion.

For the price and its size, expect that things won't be flawless, i still cut the max height on some models and don't utilize the full height as the bed slinging movement (even on a slow speed) causes a lot of artifact.

Just don't go into owning this thinking you'll magically be pumping out things like you do on a P1S and you won't be too upset.

If i could find another printer with a bed this size and price, i'd be there, but unfortunately, here we are.

Been printing 12kg of PETG, and it works like a champ. I struggled setting it at the first time, but it works great now. One downside, when printing at 500mm/s Y axis shifts layer. It is not a beginner friendly printer. Need little knowledge and skills to maintain the good print quality

Decent Printer with a great bed size its hard to find something reasonably sized but this printer itchs the scratch perfectly in terms of price to performance

My Elegoo Neptune 4 Max has been working flawlessly since I bought it. There was a bit of learning experience at the start but I quickly figured things out.

I've been printing on my new Neptune 4 max and Centauri Carbon almost daily since my purchase. Bravo to Elegoo for rock-solid printers. I've had experience with their Saturn Resin printers but found resin printing a challenge in an apt setting. I find the FDM printers much more convenient and the quality of the print rivals the resin printers.

Find it hard to level right. If you get it level it works good but if it needs to be leveled again hard to set up auto leveling For a few more dollars would be worth the extra for self leveling out of the box. I’ve test many printers and am good with them but a newbie would have trouble

This isn’t my first big printer—and let’s just say, the others left me with trust issues. Failed prints, endless tinkering, and a support team that felt more like tech therapy than actual help. I won’t name names... but they know who they are.

Enter Elegoo.

I was won over earlier this year by one of their resin printers (which ran so smoothly it felt like cheating), and I thought—hey, if they can make resin this easy, maybe they’ve cracked the code for FDM too.

This FDM printer works exactly as described. No mysterious hiccups, no constant babying, no daily rituals involving firmware sacrifices. Just clean, consistent prints and hardware that behaves like it actually wants to be helpful. Revolutionary.

And the absolute best part? I have zero idea how good their customer support is. Not because they’re bad—but because I’ve never had to call them. Not even once. That’s how reliable this thing is. If something went wrong, it was either the filament or (let’s be honest) user error.

Elegoo didn’t just meet my expectations—they stomped them, vacuumed up the mess, and printed me a trophy for good measure. I’m officially a fan for life.

The Neptune 4 max arrived quickly and was super easy to assemble and get running. I have printed over 2kg of PLA so far and didn't have any issue. I also made some small PETG prints with great success.

The auto leveling and filament runout detector are great functions thatreally improve the user experience.

I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for a reliable machine with a large print volume.

I purchase an Anycubic Kobra2 Max and I was sent a defective returned printer from Amazon. I was so insulted I returned it and bought an Elegoo Neptune 4 Max wich is the only other printer of that size. Great machine hug build volume and lots of cool features like wifi auto levellling and much more.

The bed need to be pushed back and forth until it will come on . Crazy

Package arrived quickly to my door and setup was pretty easy, I’m very happy with the print quality straight out of the box. The ability to print so many more parts on the large build plate is a bonus, it absolutely dwarfs my ender 3

I only have a Neptune 3 Pro to compare. Both are great units but the pro was easier out of the box.
But the 4 Max is a beast when it's tuned and dialed in. Fast, great prints.
Will definitely look into other Elegoo products in the future.

I was very pleased by the quality of the product. The unit was well packaged, the instruction manual and video were very simple and usefull, it was up and running within 1.5hr. I love it!

I started with the Max, then the Plus 4, then the 4 Pro, all of these models produce top quality prints. Very happy with my purchases, highly recommended!

I own both of these machines and had all kinds of trouble with both at first, but customer support came thru and now, I can't remember the last time I had any problems with either, and I use them a lot. I love them both, I do wish now that I had bought the Neptune 4 Max instead of the three but at the time I was not sold on Kipper from reading others comments, but I am now.

It’s a new machine and the head is already clogged only after 3 times using it

I didn't and still don't know anything about 3d printing aside from slicing pressing go and inhaling the yummy plastic fumes. The printer worked out of the box and I have to admit it is very freeing to be able to think of something and have it literally materialize in front of you.

So far so good a bit of trouble to start but I think I have figured it out
